Washingtons grown a bit nastier and colder since the last government shutdown, and the casualties of the partisan fight are the family memories lost from being denied access to public landmarks that are supposed to belong to the people. The government doesnt see it that way anymore its all just a damn game and the folks running the Capitol are just toying with the American people.
Thats right public memorials, monuments and parks remained open under President Clinton and the Republican Congress in 1995/96, causing one to wonder how much inconvenience and financial hardship this partial government shutdown is creating is actually necessary.
MLK Memorial is apparently shut down.
People are getting around this on First Amendment grounds.
They have the right to peacefully assemble...so as long as they make a show of being a peaceful assembly... they can get in.
This is all further proof that we the people mean NOTHING to the all mighty government. Everything belongs to the US Government and we are nothing but a but of worker slaves that get a bone thrown to us once in a while. God help us....
“Dingy” Harry Reid thinks you smell bad.
How could Harry have any sense of smell considering he has his whole head stuck up Obama and Pelosi’s rump. Now listen, after smelling that...how could he refer to tourists possibly smelling bad? LOL. I suspect the foul smell that Harry is smelling is when he is standing downwind of himself. And I must add, he has the creepiest voice I have ever heard.
That’s a good point. It’s hard to remember living in warm states with morning temperatures here in the teens now.

Put the Feds in jail.
I second that. Our former US Attorney for AZ (former Janet Chief of Staff when she was Gov) Dennis Burke, along with the staffers who got shuttled out and promoted, along with Janet, Barry, and Eric.
