Well of course it’s doomed already....as intended by the Obama leftists. Single-payer, government run healthcare and everything else, is what these Godless leftists are after. Well, that and our guns and freedoms.
The only question I keep asking is....why the hell are we letting them destroy America??? They don’t outnumber us. We outnumber them.
Wake the hell up, Americans!
The Leftists are coming! The Leftists are coming! And they’ve been coming for about sixty years (or more) now.
I do believe they’ve almost ‘arrived’.

Rush was talking about stories similar to this yesterday. It seems the only people who are signing up for Obamacare are the ones who, once they do the calculations, find out that they qualify for totally free insurance (many dropping existing plans they are currently paying for to receive “free” insurance.) This was NOT the way democrats envisioned Obamacare working. The young and healthy who currently didn't have insurance were supposed to be paying for insurance and subsidizing the older and poorer. But it appears that the only “young and healthy” that are signing up are the ones that have incomes low enough for free insurance, the ones with higher incomes are just saying “screw it” I'll pay the fine...

the program is completely doomed already.... A few trillion dollars of freshly minted Federal Reserve notes will cure that doom (can't even count on the Chinese to bail us out of this).
The system counted on limiting old people's premiums to a maximum of three times (I think I have the number right) young people's premiums. Since their actual cost is a lot more, that means they were counting on young people to overpay for their insurance as a hidden welfare program rather than the more honest, transparent but unpopular method of taxing them to pay for subsidies for older people.

It’s very pathetic that this former biz owner is such a useful idiot. Kind of disappinting that the author missed this point too: what good is cheap insurance and a lower deductible IF NO DOCTOR WILL SEE YOU or the wait for care is LOOOOONG because of Obama Care reimbursement schedules?
What will Mr. Matthews think if he dies waiting to be seen?

Yep. It was designed to fail.
People are not going to sign up. The insurance is cheaper off the exchanges and healthy people do not want to subsidize unhealthy others. Millions of poor left uncovered, obviously this was never about covering the poor.
The “fix” they will promise in 2016 is “nationalized healthcare”.
If they wanted to try something simple that would be aimed at offering coverage to the poor they could have created a Medicaid Expansion Payroll Tax to subsidize them.
That was never the point of course. This was about power, control and enriching leftist groups with grants and contracts while forcing everyone into a government program.

I believe that the clamor to “get rid of those who have outlived their usefulness” will rise faster than the decline of Obamacare popularity among large portions of the younger population.
Evil is afoot and takes many forms to accomplish its goals.

The income tax was a means for Democrats to take a cut of the working man’s WAGES. Obamacare is a means for the Democrats to take a cut of the working man’s/woman’s BENEFITS. Wake up young people.

The healthy people will not sign up....and a high % of the sick or terminally ill will....then the system will triple in price....it will costs trillions....but they will raise the penalties and the IRS will get very aggressive...it will destroy America...separate us even more into two camps...those that live off the government and those that work and pay taxes
To: The Sons of Liberty
Good question. Something is not right with this story.

It’s a naive article that assumes the govt. will run it like the govt. would require an insurance co. to. But the govt. will just print money, they don’t have to balance the books and have proper reserves.

What will Mr. Matthews think if he dies waiting to be seen? It sounds like he has enough money squirreled away that he will simply run to the nearest cash clinic across the border or off-shore.

The author has nothing but respect for Matthews? He’d do the same thing given the chance? Good heavens! Some conservative. This is exactly what liberals want us to do - make decisions based only on our own best interest. Right vs wrong don’t factor in.
