It is not unreasonable at all.
The problems is that the GOP is absolutely awful at getting their story out. Take right now, for example. They could have an ad buy on the air pretty quickly. There's no elections, sports, or anything that they'd be competing with.
So why don't they do it?
Couldn't agree more...They should have been doing this or getting the message out strongly to the public the minute that 0bama started doling out waivers to groups that supported him politically.
0care was not only jammed down our throats on a party line basis but 0bama has basically had it his way since then. In my view the GOP-e has really dropped the ball on this but it just may not have been unintentional, I don't trust them any further than I could throw Christie.

I am guessing that if they are planning on anything like this they will wait until there actually is a shut down.
I'm fairly optimistic this time. The Pubs are holding all the cards. They've staked out a reasonable position. obama has made it clear he will negotiate with terrorists and terrorist states but not the elected representatives of our govt. reid is not offering any counter proposals.
I realize the Pub leadership has a history of caving when victory is close. However, the Tea Party has changed everything. That's why the Rats attack the Tea Party at every turn. The Rats know without the Tea Party the Pubs will give them whatever they want. The Rats figure they can destroy the Tea Party by winning this, but they will be the ones feeling the pressure.
The Pubs will be attacked in the media, but the Tea Party doesn't care.
