Speaking ‘truth to power’ are we? I hate that expression.....

I hate it too. I can’t get near my denomination without hearing that gobbledygook coming out their mouths.
And all kinds of other theologically liberal expressions that drive me up a wall....”god event”, “soul centering”, “inclusive of persons” is just the tip of the iceberg.
