#1 reason I’m glad I never voted for obama: I’m an American and he is not. Sure, he may or may not be a citizen, have a valid birth certificate or not. Doesn’t matter now, he is there doing the damage. What does matter is that after five plus years one thing is obvious. In thought, word, and deed he is no American.

The link for 242 has been scrubbed, is there another source?

The problem with your reasoning is we DIDN'T vote for the likes of Ayotte, Flake, and even McCain.

The problem with your reasoning is that "we", the Conservatives, aren't the only voters out there.

Their campaign promises were to be conservatives.

Everybody knew what McCain was, but he easily won the nomination over Conservatives anyway.

BTW, do you think Obamacare would be law if he had won the general elections?

No RINO who sabotaged us from within will ever see office again.

Big words, but the voters will decide that in 2014.

Don't blame the US public for this one.

Nope, all they did was elect Obama. Twice.

But here are some numbers. According to this, 54 % of Republicans want a more Conservative choice. That's 54% of Republicans, not 54% of the total population, of which Republicans make up around 1/3.

From the same link, only 1/3 of Republicans thought their party compromised too much. The rest, Republicans, thought they compromised too little or as they should.

Short of the free money running out, how do you propose to convince Americans to nominate and elect true Conservatives with numbers like that?

Cruz, Lee, and those who coalesced around them inspired the nation. Heck, they even bring in part of the hispanic vote.

I agree, except you may be overstating they're impact. They have inspired Conservatives and some moderates. We'll see if they've inspired enough moderates to overcome the left and the RINOs in 2014.

The reason Obamacare wasn't stooped is the RINO traitors.

Who were appointed by the GOPe, not nominated and elected by their constituents, right?

And appease the voters back home? They'll never see office again, not one of them.

Big words, but if the numbers above are correct, the voters will re-elect them for this reason.

At this point, a shout-out to Marc Rubio. He redeemed himself. We'll have to see if he got the message on the invasion of the US.

How so?

1. Marc Rubio was dismissed by constitutional conservatives because he tried to work a deal on immigration with the likes of Shummer and McCain and got played. On Cruz's brave stand, Rubio was there every step of the way.

2. You'll never change anything if your head is buried in poll numbers. People need to be inspired to see a better vision for the US. Cruz, Lee and their allies can do that. Haven't you noticed? Most people don't like what Obama's doing; Cruz was the first one to articulate a better way.

3. Think about Obama's desire to arm AlQaida in Syria. Think about what happened when Snowden was labelled a traiter and hunted to the four corners of the earth. Think about the near universal disgust about Benghazi. The time is right to push back on Obamacare. A lot of Obama's base is as fed up as we are, but won't come over for a bunch of disgusting sellout RINOs.

Thanks for telling me about the baad link in 242.

I just found this:

http://news.heartland.org/newspaper-article/2012/07/25/half-individual-insurance-policies-eliminated-obamacare

High-deductible and catastrophic plans will not have the generous benefit package required by the government and will not qualify as acceptable plans

Obama getting elected is proof of how many people hate this country.

Granted.

2. You'll never change anything if your head is buried in poll numbers.

In the polls that count in 2006, 2008, and 2012, we lost.

People need to be inspired to see a better vision for the US.

The better vision many saw was free abortions and birth control, homosexual marriage, and handouts. I doubt they share in Cruz's better way, and they won't unless the free money runs out.

Cruz, Lee and their allies can do that. Haven't you noticed?

I've noticed at DU that the left is in full attack mode. We need to keep them from winning the moderates over.

3. Think about Obama's desire to arm AlQaida in Syria. Think about what happened when Snowden was labelled a traiter and hunted to the four corners of the earth. Think about the near universal disgust about Benghazi. The time is right to push back on Obamacare.

Beghazi happened before the 2012 elections. Arming AQ in Libya happened before the 2012 elections. Obamacare happened before the 2012 elections. Many Americans were disgusted, but Obama won because more were more concerned about their free abortions and birth control, homosexual rights, and government handouts.

A lot of Obama's base is as fed up as we are, but won't come over for a bunch of disgusting sellout RINOs.

Go to DU to see what his base is saying. They are disgusted with Obama, but not ready to go over to either Conservatives like Cruz or RINOs. Many are "ready for Hillary", not Conservatives.

I hope you're right, but I'm not seeing it yet.

Obama won because Romney didn't reach out to enough people. He wasn't trusted on Obamacare because of Romneycare. He made mis-steps on foreign affairs. His background as a corporate raider turned off a lot of people. Then there's that he backed off on Benghazi instead of making it a major campaign issue. I thought Romeny showed latent racism by not campaigning as hard against Obama as he did in the primaries.

Summary...Obama didn't win, Romney lost. I've HAD IT with RINO corporate wonks who think being conservatives means maximizing corporate profits at the expense of workers and not paying taxes.

You're right in a way. He didn't reach out to the homosexuals, and the flukes, and the takers, so they went for Obama.

He was also who the Republicans nominated over Conservatives. You keep trying to avoid that inconvenient truth.

Summary...Obama didn't win, Romney lost.

To the homosexuals, flukes, union thugs, and takers, Obama WON by offering them what they wanted.

I've HAD IT with RINO corporate wonks who think being conservatives means maximizing corporate profits at the expense of workers and not paying taxes.

Have you also had it with the left moving attitudes that allow them to be nominated over Conservatives?

I think Ted Cruz just demonstrated what conservatives are up against. He was sabotaged by a "Republican" nominee who lost to Obama, among other RINO traitors. Those traitors days in elective office are over. Conservatives until now have had a harder time dealing with the RNC and RINOs than Obama has.

I think where Romney could've gotten support is in some of those black communities that actually have the remnants of a middle class. They've suffered horribly under Obama, competing with hispanics for jobs and seeing opportunities for their educated youth evaporate. (yes, the black community in Cleveland has a substantial number who are well educated and responsible). What's my evidence based on? Here in OH, Gov Kasich has actually sat down with the mayor of Cleveland, and is held in higher regard than Romney was.

The left, a lot of it, is anti war and pro privacy. Obama's war-mongering could've been exploited. And now, with the NSA outrage, a conservative who speaks about privacy can win a lot of them over. Then there's the outsourcing of manufacturing and the insourcing of cheap labor that Romney couldn't talk about, because that's what he did as a corporate raider.

What we've needed is a conservative with vision who won't put his/her foot in their mouth. We now have a few of them, and if Republicans wanted to win, they'd be embracing them, instead of defying them every step of the way. The thing is, we now have proof that the RINOs work behind the scenes to help Obama defeat conservatives, and it's not going down well at all.

You keep saying that. I hope you're right, and that most voters are as disgusted with the attacks against Cruz (and everything Obama has done) as you are. We'll find out in 2014.
