Well, they’ve got much further in other countries with their agenda than they will ever get in America, and they can’t even hope to ban guns from video games in those countries, everyone still plays them just as much as we do. So, I think you’re giving the left way too much credit. You say it’s not about what games are fun, but that is exactly what drives the whole industry. You can’t legislate, or stigmatize people away from doing what they think is fun.
Prohibiting what the people really want hasn’t worked well;in the early 20th century it created organized crime to supply the public’s demand for alcohol,in our time organized crime fills the demand for recreational drugs and cheap cigarettes,in places where guns are banned people are murdered at higher rates than when guns were legal. When whole populations are disarmed,the government often murders in wholesale lots.
When I was in high school fireworks were much harder to find or buy and there were few public fireworks display ,certainly no private ones .Sure kids shot off a few bottle rockets or whatever.The fireworks were smuggled from free states to the others and often confiscated by police(who then enjoyed shooting them off!).
Now fireworks are much more widespread and easier to purchase despite the whining nannys who still want them banned because “someone will get hurt”.
The lieberals do not win when the people push back.The lieberals win too often because they are not strongly challenged.
