Must have been high school...
Probably juniors or seniors
Forgot to ping you.
Here is the article.
Maybe you can answer questions.
IIRC a lot of children died in the chicago catholic school fire of 1959 (?) because the nun teacher told them to remain seated as the flames came down the hall. first disaster i remember as an 8 year old and it freaked me out.
Last Spring my youngest school went into lockdown mode due to a break in attempt at the senior housing next door to the school. (He was a High School freshman at the time.) Since this is Connecticut, we have had the discussion on what to do in these situations, regardless of what the school tells you. Run, Hide, Fight.
Get out if you can, no matter what the teacher tell you. You can’t run and you have a good place to hide, them his. Neither of those options available, get a group together and fight. You all won’t make it, but some of you will.
them his = Then do that
Grrrr
The teacher might be no dummy. I know teachers who do “drills” by the book because they have to, but they say there’s no way they’re staying in that room if it’s the real thing. They are outta there is the common solution.
All of them want covertly armed teachers, bullet proof glass on the doors and windows, and alternate exits from their rooms.
It only makes sense.
Hard to tell on the Internet...
I do not have the ability to edit what is on freerepublic.
It’s fine! The name does sound kind of “manly”!
