Madonna might be one of the first entertainers who have spoken out about the possibilities of attacking Syria. There has been plenty of talk about the issue in Washington as Congress holds hearings and the White House has spoken too. Now it appears that celebrities are starting to make their position known. On Thursday night Madonna made it very clear she thinks striking Syria is a bad idea. U.S. stay out of Syria for humanitys sake, wroteMadonna on a very political Instagram picture. Instead of just voicing her opinion, she wrote it down and photographed the oversize note. Looking at all the people who agree, it appears she isn't alone in her opinion of not striking Syria While celebrities are the first to get involved in less volatile issue surrounding society, posting opinions on pending acts of military strikes is a bit of a risk. Waiting to see what the government does before making an opinion known prevents any PR nightmares.

If she says so. (rolls eyes)
He was also supposed to address the AFL-CIO while in Cali. That is the other reason I think he canceled.
This worn-out old mattress probably has no idea of what is going on in Syria or what the issues are. But “US stay out” is something she knows celebs usually say about US interventions so she’ll say that in her desperate attempt to stay relevant.
Cobain would say that we are “forever in debt to your priceless advice”
Right message, wrong doctrine.
Madonna has swerved into something she only dimly understands, that this situation in Syria is just none of the business of the US, poison gas or not. But her perspective is that war, in and of itself, is BAD, regardless of whether the combatants would have any empathy for her view of the world. It would have nothing to do with national interests of the US, only the seemingly endless bloodshed and violence that appears to be pointless. Adding the weight of the US military to one side or other does not essentially change the dynamics, except to INCREASE the number of non-combatants who are maimed or killed as “collateral damage”.
Big deal. What do Miley and Gaga think?
Papa don’t preach.
Someone stop her before she twerks again!
Has Lady Gaga or Bruce Springsteen weighed in yet? Need consensus of the brain trust.
Celebrities ... Is there anything they DON ‘T know?
Although Madonna did support Wes Clarke for president back in the day because of his military command experience so it is doubtful that she carries a personal commitment to non-participation in all wars. I’m positive that she would validate the right of Israel to defend itself, at the least.
Good grief. All of them - pro and con intervention - need to shut up and sing/act/or do whatever the hell it is those Kardashian women do.
Well, when you lose Madonna, the jig is pretty much up.
Wow. So Madonna’s a racist. Who knew?

Well, then, that settles it for me.
Maybe not for you but she is reaching a LOT of people that wouldn’t necessarily be tuned in otherwise. I fail to see how that can possibly be a negative.
Madonna, stay out of politics. You may be right this time, but my broken watch is right twice a day.

Oops, she just got marked off the WH party list.
