This might bring a tear to your eye, boss! ;)
Cool. Love it.
When Mr. RR and I were seventeen years old, I got him pregnant and had to marry him (according to my Mother-in-law). He bought me a very thin gold wedding band. He spent four years in the military during the Viet Nam war, went to college on the GI Bill and then continued to get his Master’s degree, for which I earned my PHT (Putting Hubby Through). On our fiftieth anniversay he bought me a stunning ring....five diamonds, each one carat. (I’m almost embarrassed to wear it.) I sits on my ring finger along with the first and most meaningful very thin gold band.
I have four granddaughters and one daughter. Next month my five beautiful diamonds will be made into five other rings. One for each granddaughter, and one for our daughter. I shall keep my very thin gold band. That makes me happy.
Such a sweet pic. The Palins are a great family God Bless them
I did that with my wife too. We took a couple of her rings in for cleaning and to get appraised. She saw a ring that she went crazy over.
I told her I needed to go pick up some wine for dinner. Stopped by the jewelry store and bought it. Our anniversary was just days away. When I gave it to her she was beside herself. Made me feel very good to see her surprise & happiness.
PS I had a good night.
Confusing. You shake hands with your right hand. You wear your wedding ring on your left hand. Why would shaking hands make your ring finger swell?
If you watch the videos of her, she shakes with both hands to double the amount of people she can greet.
How wonderful, RR - thank you for sharing! I must admit to a blurry screen and a big grin while reading your lovely story. Happy 50th to you and Mr. RR. Wishing you all continued love, good health and happiness!
This would look even better if it was on the White House lawn
Actually, it’s been 52 years. About 48 of them have been wonderful.....snicker. Good to hear from you. I think we are some of the old timers here. Blessings to you and yours.
May they have a wonderful 8 years in the White House
Todd Palin is a real hunk! True men love their wives for the long term.
Awww! That’s great!
