Personally, I’ve only known 3 people who’ve suffered shingles, but those who have were absolutely miserable for quite a long while. It’s the sort of thing you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. Maybe odds are in your favor, but I wouldn’t want to test it. I got the shot.
The unasked question is what is the downside of the vaccine? (yes, there IS a cost to pay, people just don’t want to talk about it.)
