What would you suggest he be instead? I'd like to see him run for sheriff.

I’ve been using the Internet since before it was called the Internet, when you had to go to a college library for access, and I don’t think I have ever even seen a link to ‘examiner’ so I doubt I would be clicking on one.

The orientation of the video is like a cell phone held vertically, not like a typical 4:3 or 16:9 surveillance camera.

Believe it, really. People actually post reports from the website that advertises about only using "citizen reporters" as sources -in other words, if you can blog about it, you can post it there and tout it as "REAL" news.
People may gripe about Drudge and WND, but at least they TRY to validate before posting things.

If you look closely, someone recorded the playback that was showing on another computer screen. Probably the only way to make a postable version from the security footage on the computer. Seems perfectly legit to me.

I’m guessing that the store owners, who supposedly originally posted this, shot it with a cell phone off their surveillance monitor instead of figuring out how to digitally convert and upload the footage from tape.

Very true but, with the position the gun had on that human debris’ face, the clerk might have prevented a future robbery at his or another store with a less positive outcome.

Good to see him alive/healthy and unharmed...ultimately.
...and the prep caught.
*wistfully thinking*...that this prep had shot himself dead
or seriously injured during said robbery.

many security recorders have a proprietary codec that make it difficult to put file in ordinary avi or other viewable file. If they hadn't tried before to view it other than on the system it could have been a time consuming problem.

I’m sorry but, this video looks like a set up. Why the shaky hand held video? It’s not a surveillance video.
And I don’t know any battle hardened vet that wouldn’t have put a round in the idiots melon.

He might have made a mistake that didn’t cost him his life. NEVER EVER let the muzzle end of a semi-auto pistol make contact with your intended target, which can push the slide out of battery. Bangs are better than clicks....

Two in the punkin would have deterred the next attempt. Civic duty fail.
