Speaking to you, Newt. I know you will be 70 years old, but I think of John Quincy Adams as a Senator. Why not consider running for Senator from Georgia when the opportunity arises?
Pastorni and Jones
Beautiful. LOL.
I like what the man has to SAY. It seems foolish, given the reprobates we have currently in power, to write Gingrich off for his past sins, especially when he seems to have been chastened and humbled by them. Every time I hear him speak there is mature clarity.
As for “Callista and I”, I don’t find that any different than “Michelle and I”, “Laura and I” or “Nancy and I”.
I love Newt but Paul Broun is the guy for that GA senate seat this go around. He will hang tough with Cruz, Paul and Lee.
No thanks.
With all due respect to the OP, Newt is terrible. He is like a pinball in a pinball machine. He is all over the place. Also, he thinks he is a whole lot smarter than he is. Before I retired, I worked with both idiots and some very smart people. Newt doesn’t qualify for the “very smart”.
Gingrich, just go away.
It sure is. Or, as my Dad's generation would've said "They died with their boots on."
Mom thought it strange that father, in his final days, had to go out and do his chores one final time before going to a prescheduled short-term care facility (two weeks or so) which was going to give one final shot at the disease which was taking his life before he went to hospice.
After greeting his livestock, poultry and beloved border collie, he climbed in the truck and Mom drove him there. He died the night before he was scheduled to discharge with Mom and my younger brother (the only one who could get there in time) at his side.
Best description I've ever heard of the current version of Newt. I'm sure that's why he only managed to win two states in the 2012 primary season.
I'd love to get back the 1994 version of Newt. Unfortunately, at this point, it just ain't going to happen. The future of the GOP, if indeed we have one, belongs to younger and more grounded leaders like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Rand Paul.
Exactly! prior to his beginning that phase in his public life, I was as big a Newt fan as there was, I thought he was maybe the greatest conservative thinker we had had since the Founding Fathers.
I wasn’t even that taken aback when we discovered Newt’s personal foibles was not unlike many of our own, but his Callista over-compensation thing is a big turn-off.
