In addition I think it would be easier to hold privately funded charities accountable than it is to hold the FedMob to their promises and duties.

The former get money given to them because people believe they are doing something worthwhile with it. Nothing worthwhile, no money.

The latter takes money under color and threat of law and redistributes it as they please.

Yes, and the former can be taken to civil court if they act corruptly the latter outlaws taking them to court.
