Your fear has you seeing things that aren’t there.
Look... I worry about my sins first. While most of them are in the past, I still need to work to keep my thoughts free of lust & pride especially.
In the past I simply have the vast majority of homosexuals beaten in the sin department... in addition to impure acts with members of the opposite sex, I’ve engaged in nearly all of the other sins that Paul lists.
So, I’m not going to elevate homosexual conduct to some level of super sin. I think contraceptive sex is equally repugnant to God due to the sterile, selfish nature of all such acts.
Finally, I paid for an abortion 20 years ago, and during my conversion process confessing that sin and being accepted into the church was the most powerful thing that I ever experienced.
So while I’m tempted and occasionally my imagination goes to far, I don’t look at porn, I don’t act out, and I’m not going to have sex again until I get married.
At the end of the day... I know I have a lot of people beat in the sin department and am very thankful for God’s grace. As a result I can testify to changes in behavior and in my opinion be more helpful to sinners of all stripes.
