Fox News Goes Gay
Canada Free Press ^ | August 14, 2013 | Clifford Kincaid

As part of a national journalism conference on Tuesday, August 20, America’s Survival, Inc. (ASI), a public policy organization, is officially releasing a new report on radical changes at Fox News that should cause great concern to pro-family conservatives.

“Pushing Sean Hannity out of the 9:00 p.m. slot, to make way for pro-homosexual advocate Megyn Kelly, is another sign of the channel’s left-ward drift and decline,” said ASI President Cliff Kincaid, a veteran journalist and media critic.

The 40,000-word report, written by former reporter and social activist Peter LaBarbara, examines how journalism today, even at Fox News, “has become pro-homosexual propaganda, with many media stories appearing as if they were written by LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) activists.” Like other major media, the report notes, Fox News through its parent company, News Corporation, is a long-time funder of the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA). LaBarbera runs the Americans for Truth about Homosexuality group.

He will also discuss the real reason why Glenn Beck was fired from the channel. To cover or attend the conference, which is being held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., please contact Phil Kent at (404) 226-3549 and /or philkent@philkent.com

While examining how various Fox News personalities have approached the homosexual issue, the new ASI report looks closely at Kelly, a so-called “rising star” at the channel who has a history of trying to “marginalize and discredit religious conservatives.” Sean Hannity currently hosts the show during the 9:00 p.m. time period that Kelly is reportedly taking over.

Hannity has an exceptional memory. I think he’s very bright. He gets repetitive at times, but Hannity has a knack for bringing conservatives onto his show, and I find that lacking with so many other hosts.

I find Kelly to come across as a very smart air-head.

The entire use of the word “gay” as a substitue for homosexual is a gigantic misnomer.

In some places they are still called queers.

I agree. . . .Hannity has brought moral and conservative issues to the table that others didn’t begin to touch. If they let Hannity go, I would suggest to him to move his family out of the New York area, i.e. Texas, and seek the Lord’s guidance and He will direct his path Proverbs 3:5-6.

Kelly is much to do about nothing.

Not about sexual “freedom”? Oh yes it was - freedom from morality, restraint and sanity.

She’s bright, has a lightning fast mind, but I also find a streak of narcissism in her that’s both wide and deep. I am also put off by all those semi nude pix of her that she had taken, and the fact that she’s so lawyer.

I don’t pay much attention to Fox News anymore. It’s become too influenced by GOP establishment dogma.

The only source I trust for reliable, honest reporting and analysis is the internet. The beauty of the internet is that if a lie is told or a story is spun, the truth is instantaneously posted from all over the world. Lies and spin are immediately overwhelmed by truth and fact.

Free Republic is my favorite source for news for this very reason. A story or column is posted, the alleged facts are vetted by literally thousands of readers for honesty and completeness, additional information from competing sources is added to the discussion, and opinions are offered. Updates and new information is instantaneous. Images and video are available on command. How can the Democrat “mainstream” propaganda newsrooms possibly compete with that? How can Fox News or anybody else compete with that?

I agree with your assessment that the best news source is the internet. But, that is only on a site that has discussion where the give and take can take place. FR is the best of those and definitely has the best software for following a discussion. No doubt about it.

Just picking and choosing information on the web is much more hazardous. Even the so-called fact checkers like Snopes are themselves biased and slant their analysis of “facts”.

I agree, I’ve watched Megan for some time now and never picked up on a pro homo agenda. I don’t understand where this comes from. If anyone has any enlightening info, I’m all ears.

I just think Sean’s show is tired and I’ve always thought he was a milquetoast, too ready to suck up and softball guests like McLame et al. This has always driven me nuts about Hannity.

Maybe I’m wrong.

I thought Shep Smith was getting marginalized in this Fox News lineup shuffle?

Okay, I didn’t say I watched her all the time, I’m usually at work when she’s on.

However, like I said, I’m all ears. #20 presents some compelling reasoning and I do seem to remember the O’Reilly thing. I’ll research & reconsider.

Thanks for the heads up.

Hannity’s still a milquetoast though.

I’m certainly not looking forward to any show with Megyn Kelly in primetime. Are they perhaps tired of paying Hannity the big bucks when they can get the koo-koo bird for a song?

That was the nail in the coffin for me, too. I was starting to dislike her for talking so fast but when she skipped across the set twirling like a little girl, that was it. I haven’t watched her since.

It’s possible Shep is losing his 7 pm slot. It’s possible Hannity is not losing his 9 pm slot. It’s possible he and Kelly will share, as with the old “Hannity and Colmes.”

My bet is that Hannity, who has a huge audience, is the preferred lead-in to O’Reilly, since Shep Smith loses audience share that Bret Baier has racked up.

That doesn’t mean, however, that Megyn Kelly isn’t pro-gay. I think she is, and Gretchen, and Liz, and just about all the female talking heads on Fox. (I think many have a libertarian bent on it, and a few have a liberal loyalty.)

They are.

Leftwing groups feed stories to the MSM, why would anyone not know that?

Milquetoast is being a bit tough on him. If Chuck Norris and Ted Nugent think you’re a conservative, which they do with Hannity, then you’re probably a conservative.

If you say he’s hesitant about broaching some subjects, then I’ll agree with you.

Lauren Green is the one who should have her own show. She is a great lady and one of us. IMHO. I really enjoy watching her when she is on.

I done pingified a lot today - been slacking - just overwhelmed and busy - but I much appreciate alerts, will ping this tomorrow.

I’m very thankful I’m tv free and have been so for most of my life. It seems from my reading that about 95% is nothing but mental and spiritual pollution, or at best, time wasting.
