The maximum sentence for JJjr is 5 years. Federal prosecutors are asking for 4 years. The judge could give him as little as probation.

Prosecutors want 18 months for Sandra, for filing false income tax returns.

Prosecutors are willing to allow for consecutive sentences, so that one of them will be available to care for their young children.

There is NO parole in the federal system. Prisoners MUST serve at least 85% of their sentence. Jackson is also asking that he be allowed to serve his sentence at a minimum securityClub Fed facility somewhere in the south..Hmmm, hey, why not give him community service in the Hamptons..?

So, is the fix in? How long will they get, and where will they be sent.

Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen....you have about one hour to get down..court begins at 9:30 EST

They will let them go, have the state pay all attorneys fees, and charge the prosecuting attorney with racism.

BACKSTORY Jesse Jackson Jr., wife scrambling to make ends meet
Chi/ Sun Times | 3/01/13 | By MICHAEL SNEED / FR Posted by Libloather

Ensconced in the safety of their home in Washington, D.C., former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife, former Chicago Alderman, Sandi Jackson, are struggling to make ends meet before their sentencing in June.

The shattered couple, who pleaded guilty to felonies, could lose their law licenses. They are desperately trying to pay the bills and figure out a financial plan for their two children......writing a memoir is on the table if JJJr. can find a publisher (or publish it himself).

The buzz is their major financial support now is JJJ’s devoted brother, Yusef, a successful beer distributor and businessman. It is Yusef who drove Jesse to Tucson when he was falling apart mentally due to the federal investigation, It is Yusef who has been there to calmly help his brother navigate through his emotional nightmare.

Jobless with promise of earned money coming in, everyone is trying to figure out how to make it work -- particularly if Sandi also has to serve jail time.” (Excerpt) Read more at suntimes.com ...

===========================================

Oh, please.....get out the tiny violins. This is a lotta BS---the two crooked pols got plenty stashed away.

The buzz was the tarnished JJJ would not quit Congress unless he got a $5 million "tax-paid exit bundle.

Plus as a Congressman he gave (I mean we, the taxpayers, gave) his pol wife a bundle for her campaigns.....actually Cong/earmarks falsified as "charitable contributions"

Cry me a river! That reporting makes the Jacksons into innocent bystanders to their own crimes. I’d be surprised if either one of them serves more than a year. And less than a year after that they’ll start their public rehabilitation a la Spitzer...

I’m surprised they didnt pull a “Travyon Pity-Pay-Me Cavalcade”-—like Oprah just did to hype her new movie role.

Course, that backfired bigtime for Oprah.

Could explain it.

His father shook down Anheuser-Busch with threats of a black boycott and Yusef (Yusef???) got a distributorship for Chicago, practically a license to print money.

My guess is that Jackson Jr. and his wife will receive $1 million dollars from the feds for all the emotional harm White Americans caused the Jacksons by putting them through this ordeal.

What’s never been discussed it that Jackson probably could have cut a deal to completely avoid any jail time if he had been willing to tell all about the attempt to buy the Senate seat...put that would have put 95% of Chicago’s Democrat pols in jail..and since it was Obama/Holder’s DOJ that prosecuted..I bet the offer was NEVER made.

There is probably some mandatory sentencing, unfortunately I don’t know what that is for their crimes. It USED to be judges would take into consideration a person’s standing in the community and use that as an EXAMPLE for other like minded people. I look for the minimums whatever, credit for time served, restitution, and little or no post sentence probation. So, JJ will get about 9 months, his wife 4 is my guess. They will alternate their time away after all, got to keep the kiddos happy.
