Society evolves and laws change to reflect the evolution. It is no longer permissible to “own” anyone else. Now, some kind of gun control, like background checks, needs to be implemented.

Yes, society evolves.

If Zimmerman looks “all white”, I must look like Edgar Winter.

I got 50 cents that says Barry Ellsworth won’t walk down a street in certain neighborhoods.

I wonder what he would do if a little trayvon was bashing his skull on the concrete?

Besides you are a canadian you aren’t allowed to defend yourself. Ha Ha.

Well, generally, not with a gun that wasn't locked up and unloaded a few minutes before....

First of all dim wit, the Constitution is not ‘’gospel’’, it’s the law. And the Founders never intended The Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights and the Constitution to be Holy Writ. And they also knew it wasn’t infallible because the knew all too well that men ARE fallible and that’s why they understood that freedom is God-given, not man-given or state given. Your ‘’argument’’’ or ‘’dissertation’’ is just one long one note tune called ‘’projection’’. And since you’re a Canadian what gives you the right to denigrate our Constitution and the men who gave it to us at great sacrifice? Hark off ya hoser,eh?

OMG. Seriously, I wouldn’t know where to begin. The “logic” in that is so convoluted, the hypocrisy so blatant, the prejudice so overwhelming, and the disconnect from the facts and reality so complete... He is either not taking enough medication or too much, but that guy is not right, he needs professional help.

Like most all Canadians Barry’s merely making the point that he is not American.

Other than that there is no point whatsoever to his precious scribbling.

And wasn’t FDR the POTUSA who tried to pack the SC so his socialist programs would be declared Constitutional?

Sounds right to me.

Tell that Canadian that the US is not part of the British Commonwealth, and that we rejected from the beginning their philosophy of arms control for the people. Oh yeah, tell him to get his facts separate from his opinions before he comments on events to which he was not a witness, and about which he is not particularly well informed.

Unfortunately, there are enough of his ilk around – the big guns who run the National Rifle Association, conservative talk radio Obama haters and others – who quickly and emphatically drew the besieged Floridian into their warm and fuzzy protective cocoon of right-wing fanaticism.

Scumbags like Ellsworth amuse me. No, I certainly don't bother attempting to understand them - - my brain would explode - - but it is tough not to find it funny how they twist themselves into knots to get things completely backward, first by lying to themselves and then by lying to their audiences.

Anyone who followed the Saint Skittles fiasco even casually is well aware that nobody - - including us right-wing haters (lol) - - gave the slightest damn about George Zimmerman until the lefty Democrat race hustlers resurrected an isolated tragedy that occurred long ago in Nowhereville, Florida and forced the feeble, hopeless, political prosecution of a neighborhood watch volunteer simply because that volunteer was white. Oops... make that "white Hispanic". Close enough.

Anyway, I would bet anything that this "retired Canadian journalist" who now sits around soiling himself was once a proud supporter of Canada's "gun registry". Liberals are just full of great ideas.

George Zimmerman didn’t get away with murder. He got away with homicide. It was justifiable homicide.

I've had enough of this crap about Zimmerman. The court records show that Zimmerman never laid a hand on Martin. Martin told his girlfriend he was in front of his dads house and 4 MINUTES later she said she heard the scuffle. Martin had left his home area to find Zimmerman and ATTACKED him. Self defense was proven beyond doubt.

I keep trying to figure out how long Zimmerman was supposed to take a beating before defending himself. There is NO evidence Martin announced he was 17 and unarmed when he attacked Zimmerman. Zimmerman was in fear for his life, plain and simple.

Every talking head is still saying that Martins life was somehow stolen and Zimmerman had other choices he could have made. That is just a lie. If it isn't straightened out in a public fashion soon, Zimmerman will forever be labeled a murderer by pop culture. Some talking head should pull the transcript of the trial and read the pertinent sections on the air.

He shouldn't be referring to them as the "Founding Fathers," but as AMERICA'S Founding Fathers. How dare he call them the "Founding Fathers," as if they were his founding fathers! They are not. He is Canadian and he is the bastard son of his own founding fathers, who were butt-kissing sycophants. He has no problem taking the word of old, dead sycophants as gospel all these years later, hating America and its Founding Fathers as much as they did. This is despite the fact that they were NO WHERE NEAR as distinguished as America's Founding Fathers.

So Ellsworth can kiss my ass; he is the inferior bastard son of inferior bastard sons: I'll happily take the words of the Founding Fathers as gopel. They were great men. He, like most Canadians, wouldn't know great men if they kicked Canada's ass every day for 250 years, which, by the way, is exactly what has happened.

“it is pudgy Georgie Zimmerman.”

Just another childish liberal name calling. Typical liberal.

Founding Fathers words should not be taken as gospel (Opinion)

If you are not America and do not want to be American then sure.
If you are American then you have to take them as “gospel” Otherwise you are something else........

Hear, now, the plea of ignorance and the whine of the "troubled child" who begins an argument for a case against a dead generation's law and its legitimacy with a personal snipe at Mr. Zimmerman. He's "pudgy," we are to understand. A very persuasive point, I'm sure, in any court.

This is the dime store liberalism unworthy even of a college dorm room. This is the sophistry of a mob, no more genuinely persuasive than things shouted by a lynch mob.
