May I ask a question?
I made a simple statement that was a.) true and b.) responded to and supported the statement made by a previous FReeper -- that Limbaugh visited FreeRepublic as part of his show prep.
I did not claim any credit for having been quoted by Limbaugh. Nor did I assert any involvement whatsoever in his well-earned success.
And, for this, I earn a dismissive insult from you.
Why?
I’m sorry, it was snippy. I happen to love Rush. Since 1992 when Clinton barged into the political landscape, I’ve always believed Rush is the very best at stirring the ire of liberals because he CONTINUALLY and effortlessly destroys them with facts and truth, and liberals hate him for it. He helped us FReepers make sense of the riduculous mess during the Gore debacle in 2000, and is always grounded because he is the best. This carried through the Bush years (when likewise many FReepers turned on GWB) and all the way to now. Rush is the best hope for conservatives. Period, IMHO.
And on FR—especially lately—so many have been dismissive of him (not necessarily you, I have no idea how you feel about him). It just flabbergasts me that Rush, the finest in the nation at calling the bluff of these liberals, gets vilified or just degraded by so many FReepers who somehow claim superior ability and knowledge.
So I over-reacted when you made the claim, which sounded to me as though you knew more than he, and without you, he’d wet himself. I am actually very happy that he believes FR is a fertile ground for research.
So I again apologize, I didn’t mean to insult you.
Oh and I forgot, you’re an Okie. I’m a Husker!
