Pdfs are portable document files

they are a file format

they can be produced in a number of ways not the least of which are Portable Document Files produced by ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR... ADOBE INDESIGN AND ADOBE PHOTOSHOP.

I can and have used a high resolution photo file and saved it as a PDF file..at a client's request.

15. Metadata shows Preview creator/producer information

The above is other people’s work, not mine. I am just posting it here for discussion purposes among folks who know a whole lot more about computer software than I do.

The above might become significant if there were ever to be a formal (beyond a volunteer non-profit organization posse which is adjunct to the statutory law enforcement agency) law enforcement investigation of forgery or if a grand jury were to look into the alleged crime.
