Which IMHO is where you made a wrong turn. The article is a "small sliver" of a much bigger picture. Ignore the articles details and focus on the general cultural aspects. Dogrobber #68 really knocks it out of the park.

And I always like hearing FReeper Stooge sightings. There's been a couple Moe sightings, but most are Larry. One Freeper used to see him at the Motion Picture Home.
Now I'm just bragging, but I can claim a two-fer. I met Larry Fine the same time I met Moe. It must have been around 1967 or so. Moe and Larry were on tour, along with Joe DeRita. For some reason, I didn't get to meet Joe, so I can't claim a hat trick.
