isn’t he being charged with assaulting a police officer and murder?

after all... they charge people with assaulting a police officer and resisting if you run from or kick a police dog that after you, claiming the dog ‘is an officer’

What a heartless dumba@@. HE should be left to suffer in a hot car. I don’t even leave a bag of crickets (pet lizard snax) in the car after I buy them, I bring into the grocery or wherever my next stop is.

Had a lowly civilian, like a 95 year old WWII veteran, caused the death of a police dog, even one that was actively attacking him, he would get jail time. WonderCop gets reassigned. One set of rules for the masters, and one for the slaves.

People are getting arrested these days for “barking” at a police dog. “Antagonizing” it is “obstruction of justice”. A Univ of Florida linebacker was arrested for that last week.

You can be arrested and charged for barking at a police dog because that’s harassment. Seems to me letting a member of the force die due to negligence would be negligent homicide.

How the hell does *anybody* “forget” their dog or kid in a car??

The article says he's been a dog handler for 7 years. You'd think it would be second nature after 7 years to get your dog out of the car when you got home from work?

It just beggars the imagination.

I know where my dogs are 24/7.

When I’m home, I observe them firsthand.

When I’m not home, I check in on them via a network cam and my iPhone.

I always know where my dogs are.

I don’t even allow vet techs to drag them off to exam rooms without me.

I always know where my dogs are.

It’s my job and my responsibility to do so.

Their lives may depend on it.
