Phony Scandals? What Phony Scandals?

Once again, we are seeing President Obama traveling around America and going into full campaign mode. In this round of speeches, he is accusing the rest of Washington, meaning everyone who doesn't agree with his progressive policies, of being distracted by phony scandals. He must be trying to get a head start on the upcoming budget battles and on the 2014 campaign for the control of Congress. In doing so, he is ignoring the facts, nothing unusual for him to do that, and doing what he can to accuse his political opponents of the political posturing and games that he is guilty of himself.

I am beginning to wonder if President Obama really believes that if he ignores the scandals that have plagued his administration long enough, they will just disappear into the political winds of oblivion. I am convinced that he really does believe that he can ignore the facts, act as if nothing has happened, and get away with it because the media is firmly planted in his back pocket.Because the media refuses to question President Obama and his administration in any meaningful way, he can make statements like this, which are accepted at face value and never questioned.

With this endless parade of distractions and political posturing and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball.

Phony scandals? Does President Obama really want to use that narrative? Benghazi and four dead Americans is a phony scandal? Fast and Furious, running guns into Mexico is a phony scandal? Ordering the IRS to investigate conservative groups, denying them a fair hearing on their tax exempt status is a phony scandal? Targeting the media for investigation and wire tapping because they published a story the administration wanted kept quite is a phony scandal?

Need we any more proof that this President is a liar and has no intention of telling the truth to the American people? He has surrounded himself with people who are cut from the same mold as he is. That's why we now have an administration that is one of the most corrupt in American history.

If you have followed Political Realities for very long, you will know I am no huge fan of Rush Limbaugh. I agree with some of what he says, but I am certainly no dittohead, as some of his fans like to call themselves. I did, however, catch a portion of his show a few days ago and he was explaining something that he calls the Limbaugh Theorem. Agree or disagree with his style and his tactics, it can not be denied that Rush Limbaugh has this right.

Rush Limbaugh - Basically I evolved the Limbaugh Theorem to explain something that didn't make any sense to me. I saw polls which showed the American people by vast majorities supported Obama's agenda, and yet every aspect of it they opposed. They didn't associate him with it. It was a New York Times story. I'll never forget it. The American people opposed the direction the country's going, and issue by issue by issue they opposed everything Obama was doing. Every element of the Obama agenda, a majority of the people oppose it, and yet they support him by 50, 55%. I said, "How can this be?"

There's only one answer. People do not associate Obama with his agenda, and that's because he's permanently campaigning. He's running against his own agenda, by design, on purpose. He's running against what's happening. He makes people think that he doesn't like what's happening and he's trying to fix it when in fact everything that's happening is precisely because he wants it to and has made it happen. So here comes a story in the Wall Street Journal. It's an opinion piece by a guy named Jason Riley. And it's entitled, "Obama's Poll Numbers."

And here's how it starts: "How is it that President Obama, despite the recent scandals, has been able to maintain an approval rating in the mid- to high-40s, or about where it's been for the better part of three years? A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll may provide some clues. For starters, the public doesn't seem to be blaming the president for the Benghazi terrorist attack, the IRS targeting of conservative groups or the Justice Department snooping."

The public does not blame the president for anything that's happening, and this guy says, how can this be? How is it that President Obama is able to remain unattached from his own policies, his own administration? The Limbaugh Theorem explains it.

Is this not exactly what we are seeing from Obama? Is it not exactly what we have seen from Obama from the beginning of his political career? He sets a lot of policies in motion, ie. the sequester, and blames someone else for the results. All the while, he is campaigning to the American people and the media and poor John Boehner simply can't keep up.

In closing this post, which is already long enough, I want to use something from Alan Caruba. He nailed the phony scandals narrative in his column from July 26.

Renew America - It is absolutely astonishing that Obama could refer to "phony scandals" when the list of genuine scandals keeps growing. Despite the best efforts of the mainstream media to deflect attention from them, they have become a constant factor from Obama's first term to his second. To dismiss them as "phony" is a display of arrogance that is breathtaking.

Arrogance, indeed, is what we are seeing from President Obama and his minions. They actually believe they can get away with ignoring the facts and the evidence. If the media has their way, getting away with it is exactly what will happen. All of these phony scandals will be swept under the proverbial rug in some dark room, never again to see the light of day. It's up to people like you and me to make sure that doesn't happen.

If you will notice closely the regime is very adept at accusing us of doing exactly what they are doing"got our eye off the ball" and then blaming it on us. So slick its almost diabolical.

8. It was also cover for an excuse for spending more money on govt. projects through EO's(read more vote buying) which is what the speech was all about. and so many others. The fact that ozero got caught is humorous but goes no where.
