"Why is it that Democrats first instinct is to lie?"Because a Demonrat's second instinct is to commit treason.

Why is it that Democrats first instinct is to lie? Because the master they serve is the father of lies...

The State Department categorically denied Kerry was on his boat. Yet CBS had pictures to prove it. I'm not surprised Democrats lie it's who they are... I'm surprised CBS didn't fire the guy who took the pictures and suppress the truth. CBS is a known enabler for all democrats - no matter how corrupt.

I don’t have an answer, other than “The Playbook” says that is what is required to put forward the best possible story.
It is why I callem “LIEberals!”
Because they LIE!

It is apparently due to their core DNA. They are incapable of telling the truth.
They hate people, who dare to tell the truth about them and their beloved lying leaders.

I recall it being said, by an old cohort of Bill Clinton when he was governor:
"He'd rather climb a tree and tell a lie, than stand on the ground and tell the truth." That quote always stuck with me and hasn't been proven wrong since.
I remember relating the quote to a co-worker during Clinton's first campaign for POTUS and the reaction was, "So what, they all lie," and I replied that "character" was everything and truth-telling paramount in our public officials. It's about trust. We've lost confidence in most of our officials during the last two decades and it seemingly doesn't much matter to a majority of the electorate.

Leftists lie so as to not tip their hand and reveal themselves for who and what they are and really believe in. Simple as that. And like the cockroaches that they are, they need to be stepped on and brought to their miserable end...that is what you do to vermin.
