After I sent it to Doug I realized I left off the final part of today’s developments, when Zimmerman’s mother and uncle testified that it was his voice screaming for help. But seeing as the overall tone of the analysis is one of exasperated derision, I guess it’s better that I did.
Which is why this case would be reversed on appeal by even the most liberal court, if GZ is convicted. Debbie Nelson has displayed naked bias and rank incompetance from day minus one.

Judges never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever grant that motion. It was NOT chickening out. (I hate it when non-lawyers comment like they know something).
IF he were to grant that motion (which he shouldn’t as the test is, is there enough for a jury to decide) then he opens the entire case up to appeal (assuming the State can appeal in FL in this kind of case and am sure they can). It would get sent back and the ENTIRE case would need to be retried.
He did the correct thing. It was an easy call. Any lawyer who practiced in criminal law (like me) would know that.

First of all, that ain’t no woman baby. That’s a man man! Second, using the wrong pronoun does not necessarily make the legal content of the original post incorrect.

Before he was shot, why would be Trayvon be screaming help? He had no injuries like George had with a broken nose and head bleeding in 3 places.
With all due respect to this writer. He is as chicken, as the judge and the
rest of the cowards associated with this case. The last paragraph in his
article, he gives the Judge a pass, for passing the buck on dismissing this
farce of a case and giving it to the jury.
Too many people associated with this case have passed the buck already instead of making the right decision. This case should have NEVER been brought to begin with and the Judge was just another coward passing the buck in making the right decision. I would not be surprised if the jury passes the buck and convicts Z, thinking an appeals court will make it right.
George Zimmerman’s life is on the line because too many hacks have all
passed the buck.
It’s a MAN, baby, yeah!
