I think at least part of this is the emergence of the home video market. When the major studios controlled the theater distribution chain they could pretty much dictate their own terms.

Also the fact that a church in Albany, Georgia proved that they could ramp-up very quickly to do a technically competent production job.

The Lord can use anything or anyone to get the Gospel out. He’s awesome like that.

A mixed blessing. Hollywood types that haven’t a clue about Christianity will serve up their notions of “spirituality” to make a buck.

While not exactly Christian, I’d sure like to see more of Courage New Hampshire.

The entertainment industry has always been out of touch with the public.

A great example was President Reagan's funeral. The TV networks had to quickly shuffle their schedules because of viewer demand.

Frankly I'm tired of channel surfing and getting the "F" bombs everytime I scan past Showtime or HBO. It's almost a guarantee. Sometimes I think the writers of those programs are stuck in the eighth grade mentally.

There are quite a few of these Christian-themed movies if one goes looking.

Right. I have seen all four of their major movies : Flywheel, Facing The Giants, Fireproof, and Courageous. All of them are family friendly, deal with serious subjects, and have strong faith based messages.

I rarely go to movies anymore. I don’t want to go see a movie which spews forth liberal messages, or all these “sex comedy” type movies which are so prevalent, and put forth a message that it’s just expected that you will have many partners with recreational sex.

And yet they could not resist zooming in for the tight shot of Nancy as she was breaking down in tears during her last few moments over her husband's casket.

Absolutely one of the most cruel things I have ever witnessed. I will never forgive them for that.

Wouldn’t it be fun to see movies which poke at the guts of Political Correctness, to shape public thinking?

They were kind of heading there with An American Carol a few years ago. A sadly unsatisfying effort. Largely because the funniest bits all involved Ted Kennedy and when he died they ended up on the cutting room floor.

MSM loves misery, tears and sadness. It sells commercials.

Grief is the price of love and Nancy Reagan demonstrated her great love for The President at that moment.

True... Besides, who in Hollywood is going to play these parts? Most of the actors and actresses are so bad they must take off most of their clothing just to make up for their lack of talent. That tactic would not work in the family scene and the untalented would be exposed. I cannot imagine the silicone enhanced could actually pull off anything resembling family, and definitely not Christian. The success of The Bible on the history channel is due to it’s genuine intent.

Say what you will. In the final analysis it all comes down to money and profit.

I am tired of ED commercials on every sporting show. Really? Can’t even watch a baseball game or golf tournament with my teenagers without seeing one every 10 %^*%# minutes.

I am tired of promos for shows that have vampires, queers, lesbians, queer vampires, heinous murder depictions, bloody corpses, stupid-assed zombie shows, demonic possessions, killer ghosts, or whatever else in the middle of what is suppose to be a family friendly show. They are determined you and yours are going to be exposed to it.

You cannot hardly watch anything anymore “live” we are always running 30+ minutes behind so we can dvr through everything.

I enjoyed a movie called What If with Kevin Sorbo. It was similar to Family Man, or It’s a Wonderful Life, but with a Christian theme. Sorbo did a good job and the cast was good. Also had John Ratzenberger from Cheers in it.

Used to be that Christian movies were so Grade B that it was hard to watch them because the acting was so bad. For the most part, the ones I’ve seen lately have been well made.

Boy, am I with you there. They even run during live ballgames in the middle of the afternoon. If I had a young son who liked baseball I'd be really upset!
