I’m throwing the idea out there, but I’m not married to the idea of a third party. I am more interested in seeing what my fellow Conservatives think.
That may very well be.
Take a moment to look at my tagline.
Do the name Nicolae Ceaucescu ring a bell?
Yep.
:)
I’ve been throwing that trash out for a long time now. Those phony surveys are just begging bowls. [unladylike word] ‘em.
Hubby and I gave a big donation to our local representative in DC, and we were inundated with requests for more from republicans all over the dang country.
Into the trash!
It has seemed obvious to me for a long time that some of our most “trusted” “Conservatives” are in it for the other side.
Infiltration, lies, and perfidy, thy name is democrat.
They are fewer than we, but they are in charge of every important institution in the country.
All I can imagine when I think of the democrat party is muck and slime.
I hope we figure it out before the country collapses.
Both sides are missing something. The real way to get out of the loser's bracket is to articulate why conservative principles are good for everyone. I don't believe Rove can explain, because he's not a conservative. He's a quarterback who wants to lead any team that will take him, and he'll plan the plays for his team even though all he cares about is putting points on the board, quickly, which is not in itself a bad thing.
The problem is that in the long term we need to articulate our case or elections will continue to come down to a bidding war, which we will always lose. The far left will always promise more free stuff for the lazy than we are capable of matching. We have to offer a real opportunity to contribute and to advance on their own merits and explain why freedom is better than the coddled slavery that the left is aggressively imposing.
Indeed.
We are in deep trouble here. We can’t even blame the sock puppet. He’s under orders, and the PTB are to blame.
They have been named in various media (none of it “main stream”), but getting to them for prosecution seems impossible.
"...in 2012, things went back to normal for the Republicans. The party's Conservative grassroots activists were treated like Orwellian unpersons again. Mitt Trotsky and his putrid record as the governor of Taxachussetts were trotted out like a prized dancing horse by the RINO Herd as the only human being able to defeat a failing and flailing Barack Hussein Obama. Tea Party and Conservative candidates were treated like pariahs with leprosy and were openly opposed by the usual suspects (Rove, Kristol, Sheikh Ali Paul and the Paulestinians) and were defeated as the base blew off the 2012 Popularity Contest and stayed home."
Good post!
Thanks for the shout out!
Did you see Sarah Palin's article the other day? She's literally two inches away from turning in her Republican party card, and supporting the formation of a true opposition party.
If she comes out and calls for the Tea Party to officially register as a national political party, millions upon millions will jump ship and join it.
Thanks again, FRiend!
Praying that it does happen and soon.
As the 2012 election proved, all the money and influence in the world won't win elections, if you're pimping a candidate and an agenda the base doesn't believe in.
Bottom line, it takes votes to win elections. Shut your base out, and the winning margin of voters stays home.
Good point.
How do we know that? We haven't staged a real protest yet. Peaceful rallies in the park with speeches, flags, and placards doesn't equal a "protest".
Think Civil Rights era. Vietnam era. Those were protests that led to effective change in Washington and the country.
You’re absolutely right. The problem is the huge division between the people with the money and the base. In the Dems, there is no such division. Both their base and their big money donors like Soros are openly socialist.
