Let's read that comment once again:

What other motivation could a state have for denying someone a photocopy of his deceased sister’s original birth certificate? Of course, it couldn’t have anything to do with a different number appearing on Virginia’s original birth certificate. No, that would just be ridiculous birther talk.

It seems to me the reason they can't supply a copy of the original long form birth certificate for Virginia, is that THE CONTENT NO LONGER EXISTS, the content might have been removed and replaced with 'something else' and of the original, ONLY THE NUMBER REMAINS.

A death announcement for the girl, under the name of her father, Tomio Sunahara, appeared in the Honolulu Advertiser on Aug. 8, 1961, and in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin on Aug. 14, 1961.
