And we are to assume they did that without any documentation of birth? You don't think they used the documentation of the birth of 'Tomiyo' for confirmation of the identity of the dead infant? How would they have established who she was?

Methinks the death certificate was issued in the name of the infant born on August 4. Tomiyo Sunahara. Amended two weeks later to Virginia, so she could be buried with her own name.
