Sounds like paranoia to me. She probably has software that just updates itself on different cycles and her computer was set up to wake using LAN...heck antivirus software can make a computer look like someone is accessing it if it runs a scan. Now if she had it set up for remote access that’s a whole ‘nother ball game...

That sounds like a weird antivirus. I have Norton and it never does that.

And .. if you do set up for remote access, where would you find that within IE ..?? I noticed the word “Everybody” in a menu once, but now I can’t find it again - so I can explore what it means.

Sounds like paranoia to me.

CBS brought in an independent computer forensics company, and they confirmed that the computer had been compromised on a number of occasions, and used sophisticated methods trying to covering their tracks.
