Isn't That Peculiar ? [Director's Cut]

Back in 2011, I posted the following article on FRee Republic. I think it's more relevant now, especially since Chairman Obama has decided to use the IRS as his own personal Gestapo.

To shamelessly rip off Greg Gutfeld and not feel the least bit bad about it, enjoy enjoyers!

***

While spewing venom at the Communist Left at Moveon.Dork, I noticed something rather odd at the bottom of the propaganda-filled screen:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"MoveOn.org Civic Action is a 501(c)(4) organization which primarily focuses on nonpartisan education and advocacy on important national issues. MoveOn.org Political Action is a federal political committee which primarily helps members elect candidates who reflect our values through a variety of activities aimed at influencing the outcome of the next election. MoveOn.org Political Action and MoveOn.org Civic Action are separate organizations."

http://front.moveon.org/hows-the-voting-republican-thing-working-out-for-ya/

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ahhhhh....but what is a 501(c)(4) organization ? Let's ask the goosesteppers at the IRS:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"To be tax-exempt as a social welfare organization described in Internal Revenue Code (IRC) section 501(c)(4), an organization must not be organized for profit and must be operated exclusively to promote social welfare."

http://www.irs.gov/charities/nonprofits/article/0,,id=96178,00.html

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmmm.... I can't recall the last time Moveon.Dork did anything to promote "social welfare". Promoting flash mobs of jobless 28 year old wannabe commies certainly doesn't do much for the community as a whole. Try as I might, I can't recall the last time I saw Eli Pariser, the $oros flunkie who started Moveon.Dork, hand out turkeys at Thanksgiving. For that matter, I've never seen Eli give toys to needy kids at Christmas time. (Which is a good thing, since he would tell the kids that there's no God and the toys were made by slaves in some hell hole to make some fat, rich, white capitalist male rich.)

Now that we've established that Moveon.Dork is as charitable as Ebeneezer Scooge after a night of hard drinking, what else does the Ministry of Love say about 501(c)(4) organizations ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The promotion of social welfare does not include direct or indirect participation or intervention in political campaigns on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office."

http://www.irs.gov/charities/nonprofits/article/0,,id=96178,00.html

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That means, according to the Big Mommy Regime, Moveon.Dork should NOT have pages like this on their site:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How's The 'Voting Republican' Thing Working Out For Ya? ( http://front.moveon.org/hows-the-voting-republican-thing-working-out-for-ya/ )

The Public's Favorite Word For The GOP 2012 Lineup ( http://front.moveon.org/the-publics-favorite-word-for-the-gop-2012-lineup/ ) (This one is particularly nasty, make sure you check this one out.)

By far and away this one is the worst (and quite possibly be the straw that breaks Moveon's 501(c)(4) back)

Mitt Romney vs. Mitt Romney ( http://front.moveon.org/mitt-romney-vs-mitt-romney/ )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The "Mitt Romney vs. Mitt Romney" thingie deserves some explanation. This little attack on the Myth came on the day he announced his candidacy, and is therefore a direct violation of the IRS rule I posted above. (Let it be noted: I don't shill for candidates in this column, and if I did, I certainly would not shill for Myth Romney. As far as I'm concerned, Myth is simply Chairman Obama with a legit birth certificate and really big hair. However, rules are rules.)

Now here's the funny part. We The People help keep the lights on at Moveon.Dork. As David Horowitz's Discover The Networks site points out:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"MoveOn has received financial support from numerous leftist organizations, including the Tides Foundation, the Shefa Fund, the Stern Family Fund, the Steven and Michelle Kirsch Foundation, the Compton Foundation, and George Soros's Open Society Institute. Following a September 17, 2003 meeting between Soros and Boyd in New York, Soros and his associates gave nearly $6.2 million to MoveOn over a period of six months. The contributions included $2.5 million from George Soros personally; $2.5 million from Peter B. Lewis of Progressive Insurance; $971,427 from Stephen Bing of Shangri-La Entertainment; $100,000 from Benson & Hedges tobacco heir Lewis Cullman; and $101,000 from Soros' 34-year-old son Jonathan Soros, an attorney and financier recently promoted to deputy manager of Soros Fund Management LLC.

Jonathan Soros has become personally involved with MoveOn.org's activities. In December 2003, he collaborated with techno-rocker Moby to organize "Bush in 30 Seconds," an online contest for the best 30-second anti-Bush TV ad."

And guess where Furious George's Open Society Institute gets money from ? That's right, True Believer! You! (Think about that next time you wonder how you're going to make your monthly bills.)

"Between 1998 and 2003, OSI received more than $30 million from U.S. government agencies."

http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/funderProfile.asp?fndid=5181

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You would think someone in the arrogant and lazy mainstream media would say "Well, isn't that peculiar ?" You would think someone in the Department of Injustice would say "Well, isn't that peculiar ?" You would certainly think that Darrell Issa would say "Well, isn't that peculiar ?"

Well, since we're not hearing that, all we can say is.....(drum roll, please!)

God help us all.
