Then why did you bow before the government and request that a muzzle be placed on their Free Speech Rights? This is exactly what 501 tax exempt status is...a MUZZLE!

I thought they were all very good. More interestingly, they had very different styles and personalities and these were very evident.
What did McDermott say in response to the witnesses?
As I recall (and I watched almost all of it), nothing. What a worthless piece of crap. And what a reflection on the voters of Washington state.
She was magnificent!

Gotta tell you. I am very proud of the Republicans and the leadership they are showing. They have been dynamic in these hearings and I think we need to applaud them instead of debasing them. The next thing, we have to be very grateful for is the fact they are the majority in congress and using it for all it is worth. They have been the opposite of “gutless”

I didn’t want to make that comparison though. That guy disappeared after he did that, so I do not want to, ah, jynx anyone.

I respect what you are saying, but sadly I do not feel the same way.
I need to see actual action that has meaning and results. Dynamic on hearings is all well and good, but nothing has changed.
Personally, I do not care if they ever say anything at all again.
Now is the time to do.

She probably wasn’t aware of the intrusiveness until the app was sent in.
IIRC, the IRS nosiness and other cr@p started after people applied.

I think these Tea Party groups got greedy and thought the $$$ would come rolling in if people could exempt their donations...something that didn’t happen. They gave up their freedom for the prospect of making money.
You can’t rail against the big government mess while taking advantage of it. That’s hypocrisy and leads to the compromising of principles.
I think many of these Tea Party leaders aren’t really leaders...they’re sheeple.
