A new teaser video released this afternoon shows a slew of celebrities and activists rallying in support of military whistleblower Army Pfc. Bradley Manning, whose trial for leaking 700,000 secret documents to WikiLeaks began today.
“I am Bradley Manning” is the tagline of the PSA created by the eponymous group and featuring supportive celebrities like filmmaker Oliver Stone; actors Russell Brand, Peter Sarsgaard, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Wallace Shawn; musicians Tom Morello and Moby; and journalists Phil Donahue, Matt Taibbi, and Chris Hedges.
Each speaker takes their turn declaring that they or we “are all Bradley Manning,” imploring viewers to put themselves in a similar situation to Manning’s. “What would you do,” they ask, if you were faced with the decision to leak non-life-threatening information that evidenced “war crimes” and “awful things” and deserved to be in the public domain?
“It’s very hard for a lower-level soldier to turn on his officers and saw there was a war crime here,” filmmaker Stone lamented.
Although the documents he leaked have repeatedly been identified — including by government officials — as having no life-threatening effects and causing minimal to no national security harm, Manning faces a potential life in prison for, among other charges, the capital offense of “aiding and abetting the enemy.”
“It’s an absurd charge,” fellow whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg says in the “I am Bradley Manning” video. Ellsberg famously leaked the so-called “Pentagon Papers” in 1971, helping shine a light on the mismanagement behind the United States’ involvement in the Vietnam War.
“I was Bradley Manning,” the former whistleblower says, clearly acting as the centerpiece of the video.

You would think Jane Fonda would be first on the list to support a fellow traitor.
Well what the hell, they are half way to turning the military into their latest social experiment. Damn it, let transgender whistle blowers go to battle in a dress and then change sides whenever they feel like it. Don’t call him a traitor he is an undocumented information officer and damn it just because the Bible doesn’t approve of treason is no reason for us to suffer after all the military is so unfair and he looks like my son or nongendered off spring would, if I had one of those. What difference does it make at this point the secrets are out so what does it matter if he’s a treasonous punk or just a sissy out on the town who decided to get some Americans killed? Let him have Communion after they throw condoms around, and anyone who doesn’t like it can have a nice long audit. Now sign here and agree not to protest him receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor or else your kid will never see that lung transplant, in fact they aren’t getting it anyway.

I think Bradley was blowing a lot, but definitely was not a “whistle blower” unless someone named his junk whistle!
