It was the leadership of the BSA that approved the new policy. I talked to some scout leaders yesterday and they all said that no boy may practice homosexuality - or heterosexuality - while participating in scout activities. They are to remain “morally straight” at all times. I am glad that folks are leaving the BSA in a huff. The LDS Church will continue to accept all boys and lead them in the ways of righteousness and good citizenship.

4/19/2013 - The BSA’s National Executive Committee (~23 voting members) unanimously approved and released its membership standards resolution, which proposed removing the restriction denying membership to youth on the basis of sexual orientation alone and maintaining the current membership policy for all adult leaders of the BSA.

These statements are breathtakingly duplicitous and will be a stain on the reputation of the BSA because of the 23 members of the BSA National Executive Committee who engineered this change. The ~ 30 year scandal within the Roman Catholic Church of homosexual priests preying on adolescent males is the proof of this Goebbels-sized big lie.
