If anybody wants on/off the revolutionary progressivism ping list, send me a message

Progressives do not want to discuss their own history. I want to discuss their history.

Summary: This is why the progressives cannot handle competition in media. It ruins what they're trying to normalize.

A case can be made that normalcy bias explains much of what is going on in our culture, but this is not it. Normalcy bias is a concept in psychology that suggests that things will be like what they have always been. Because bad things have not happened, they probably won’t happen. So people go about their business as usual, often missing clear signs of impending problems.

What PGA describes is more like the “availability heuristic” which suggests that you are more likely to believe something if you can find even one example of it. By seeing more an more progressives, gays, etc., in the media, in entertainment and in positions of power, we are more likely to accept that as normal, simply the way things are.

Tell a lie over and over and people will begin to believe it. Off hand I can’t remember who made this statement.
