Sort of sad to hear that about Pensacola. I lived there in 1968 while attending the University of West Florida. Got kicked out after two quarters.
No one told me you had to maintain a 2.0 GPA to stay in. I don’t think I turned in a single paper but still had a 1.9.
I have a very good friend still there. He married a much younger (and gorgeous) girl. She is in college and he told me she and her geology class visited shoal river and DeFuniak Springs recently. She told him that was the prettiest town she had ever seen. Of course she probably only saw the best part of town around the lake.
