A random thought that came to me during the media feeding frenzy over Jason Collins, who is now going to be fundraising with Michelle Obama for the DNC.
That’s funny, we were talking about that in Sun. School Class two days ago...about how difficult it is to be a Christian in certain work environments. Even if the Christian is not vocal or wearing certain jewelry. ACTING like a Christian can be treated with disdain.
We even used the words hiding and coming out.
In the early days of Christianity Christians had to hide their beliefs. Even today in many countries, they are persecuted for their beliefs.
In this America, the State is meant to be the religion.
Coming out of the prayer closet.
A recent article on this very topic:

Being forced to hide our relationship with the same God from whom our natural rights descend does not sound like the kind of country I want to live in.
Hide nothing.
Luke 6:22,23 (KJV)
[22] Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.[23] Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
