In almost the exact same place, I was stopped by two squads and three deputes a number of years ago. Someone had called in and said that a person was running with a gun in their hand.

Probably a winter visitor, most likely from Canada. At the end of the friendly visit, one deputy said to the other, "Well, if you were in this neighborhood, running, you would be carrying too, wouldn't you?"

That is also a tactic for an officer to make sure you know he knows you’re there and he’s watching.

My wife and I just got back from New Mexico,Arizona and Utah.We each have our concealed carry permits issued by Ohio,we were armed on our entire trip.Exceptions being National Parks and White Sands(trinity site). It was great traveling in states that were that open.

Sheriff departments are very supportive of armed citizens.
