There once was a time when America didn't worry about your circumstances today, because the country was working to ensure that there would be opportunities for you to have MUCH brighter circumstances tomorrow.
It was called the American Dream - and it was made possible only by focusing on the limitless potential of limited government.
My thoughts on the matter are in my Illinois Review column today, if you're interested, here...
There was just a fairly recent hefty raise in the minimum wage not too long ago. Wonder why fast food restaurant prices are no bargain anymore? Not to mention having 3rd world import employees messing up your orders.
The left continues to try and make permanent careers out of what should be entry or transitional jobs. It cannot sustain.

- MAXIMUM PERKS -
So Obama gave back a mere pittance - twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) to the US Treasury out of his huge income while spending over three million dollars ($3,000,000) in just three (3) days on a golfing “vaca” with his “buddy” Tiger Woods.
The Obamas burn through over one billion dollars a year ($1,000,000,000) while the Royal Family of Britain manages to scape by on just one hundred and eighty-four million ($184,000,000) a year.

First the Feds were concerned about those who make TOO MUCH. Now they are (again) after those who make TOO LITTLE.
Too little, too much ? Maybe the Feds should just have a simple salary schedule for everything.
You know.... peons vs. ruling class. Then we could pool all our resources and be dependent on those who are suckers enough to ‘work’ and have resources.
It will be great. Commoners make $22.00/hour and gas costs $25.00/gallon. It will be a ‘workers paradise’. Just like all the other socialist nations are. (/s)
eliminate the minimum wage and let people negotiate their own. There may be those who couldn’t possibly hire at minimum wage but who could hire at something less who wont hire at all because of this stoooooooooooooooooooopid law
