They don't even believe what they are saying. Get any one of them to admit the truth, and they will tell you that "Anchor Babies" and "Birth Tourism" are really bad ideas, and that we need to fix the law to disallow this sort of thing.

The Notion that the law was NEVER intended to permit such a thing in the first place is simply unthinkable to them.
