Scanners will not pick up the void-secure feature that is designed to thwart standard photocopying. Hi-res scans will pickup the subtle detail but not change the background like a B/W photocopy.

I do not believe Hawaii uses paper with the void-secure feature.

They used to when Peter Boy’s COLB was created. But recent ones do not look like they have any void-secure feature.

Reference:

From link directly above:

“Basketweave Security is an old security feature. For many years, this was the only security feature used when printing checks. Due to the development of color copiers, the basketweave background is easily copied. “

Hawaii use of basketweave-only security feature on its documents is a joke.

This all said the LFBC is still not an authentic scan at all - hence why it should be called the ‘Laughably Fake Birth Certificate”.

Here is a good page with a grid of security features.

Here is a list of the techologies:

Note that some feature are overt. Some features are covert.

Hawaii seems to use paper that contains one single feature - basketweave security.

“Due to the development of color copiers, the basketweave background is easily copied. “

There appears to be no other security feature to Hawaii documents.

Most states BC documents use paper that includes 2 or 3 or more security feature.
