On Friday, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, announced the RNC raised $18.02 million during the first quarter of 2013, 27% less than the $25.2 million in receipts the RNC reported in the first quarter of 2009. Both reports were filed to account for contributions and expenditures in the first full quarter after a Presidential election.
In the first quarter of 2009, Republicans had just lost the White House for the first time in 8 years. The Democrats controlled both the House and the Senate in Congress. President Obama's approval rating was over 60%. The party still managed to raise more money than it did this year in the comparable reporting period.
Breitbart News's review of FEC records showed that the RNC's total receipts for the first quarter of 2013 were $18.3 million, slightly more than the $18.02 million announced by Priebus. Of this $18.3 million, a total of $16.0 million came from individual contributions, with the remaining $2.3 million coming from transfers from related committees and other sources.
In the first quarter of 2009, $17.4 million of the $25.2 million in receipts came from individual contributions, while $7.8 million came from transfers from related committees and other sources.
Looking at individual contributions only, the decline was a less dramatic 6%.
In its Friday press release, the RNC compared its first quarter 2013 fundraising results with the first quarter of 2011. According to the statement, first quarter 2013 total raised was $18.02 million, $920,000 (or roughly 5.5%) more than the $17.1 million it said was raised in the first quarter of 2011.

I am just tired of receiving those “surveys” with their questions and obvious answers and the request for for money on page 2.
The questions are so inane that, if the RNC does not know the answers yet, they should get out of politics. Besides, it is doubtful that the answers will even be taken into consideration.
It’s good to know I’m not alone.
Too bad they will never listen.
3rd party, anybody?
Get it from the Mexicans, Muslims and the new immigrants in the welfare lines.
I’m going to use it...
No need for the GOP elites to worry, I’m sure Rove’s PAC will make up the difference.
So I should pay more money to the telephone company for caller ID for what reason? I already know who’s calling. That’s why I unplug the damned thing.
We aren’t like you. We don’t yammer on the telephone.
Odd, after I went to the rnc website and voiced my opposition to their policies, I get donation mail from them.
Is it illegal to send it back in their postage-paid envelope with my concerns?
As long as the party caters to the “gang of eight” there will be no “pieces of eight” from me.
They’re not getting a dime from me until they start representing conservative values. As long as they continue kissing up to zero and not hold him accountable, my wallet stays closed. Not paying to lose again.
Finally, some good news for a change!
You can “tell” the party all that, but the people on the phone don’t know any of the people you are mentioning. They are minimum-wage or nearly so and probably temporary employees just trying to meet the party’s requirements as a caller. I would the large majority of them are NOT Repub licans too.
Changing to “Independent” will have the practical result in many state of keeping you out of Republican primaries in 2014. This will in turn strengthen the socialist contingent within the GOP.
Why should I vote in the primary for a RINO? That is just strengthening their intention to run. Why should I vote in the primary for a Leftist, Moderate, Republican? That is just strengthing their intention to run. Why should I vote in the primary for a liar? That is just strengthening their intention to run.
Especially when the ONLY candidates in our primaries are either uncontested or you have two RINO's running against each other. In addition most primaries are being controlled by the establishment Republicans. So it is almost like voting in a third world election. Vote for the dictator in a single candidate election or else see the doom and gloom.
If support for a candidate drops by 27% at the local level, don't you think that might (hopefully, probably not) might wake up the establishment they need to do something better? I can answer my own question.
I live in New Mexico, 3 in Congress and 2 Senators. In 2008 we had 4 Republicans and 1 Democrat in that mix. Now we have 1 Republican and 4 Democrats. The offices lost to the Democrats were in elections where the Republican was a RINO. Enough said. Now the Republican Party in this state is in a panic. And the same holds true at the state level and the local level. They have no money and no VIABLE CANDIDATES because they turned their back on them. All they have are the toadies in the establishment.
Rinse Dweebus! HA HA HA
Personally I refer to him as Reese’s Pieces because if this immigration reform crap passes the GOP is gonna resemble Reese’s Pieces after the 2014 Elections.
Hmmm.I wonder why. The only group I give money to now is SarahPac.
I didn't realize you never got calls from anyone but the RNC.
We arent like you. We dont yammer on the telephone.
No, you're not like me - I don't respond to practical suggestions with baseless personal attacks. Have a nice day.
