Eden Foods CEO: “I’M NOT IN YOUR BEDROOM. OBAMA IS IN YOUR BEDROOM”
Family Research Council ^

Posted on 04/19/2013 4:04:42 PM PDT by oneprolifewoman

I have a new hero: Eden Foods founder and CEO Michael Potter. Eden Foods is an organic company popular among the “crunchy, liberal crowd” which has filed suit against the Obama administration over the HHS mandate. Potter is getting slammed over it, thanks in part to a hit piece last week in Salon magazine which publicized the suit and framed Potter as a man with an anti-birth control agenda.

Don’t waste your time on the original article. Instead, enjoy the refreshing quotes from the no nonsense, plain-speaking Mr. Potter in Salon’s follow-up piece from Monday relating a telephone conversation between Potter and Salon writer Irin Carmen.

“I’ve got more interest in good quality long underwear than I have in birth control pills,” Potter told Carmen. Then he elaborated:

I don’t care if the federal government is telling me to buy my employees Jack Daniel’s or birth control. What gives them the right to tell me that I have to do that? That’s my issue, that’s what I object to, and that’s the beginning and end of the story….I’m not trying to get birth control out of Rite Aid or Wal-Mart, but don’t tell me I gotta pay for it. Rock on, M.P.!

When Carmen pressed Potter using the fallacy that “the mandate doesn’t cover abortion” but “only contraception,” Potter responded this way:

It’s a morass…I’m not an expert in anything. I’m not the pope. I’m in the food business. I’m qualified to have opinions about that and not issues that are purely women’s issues. I am qualified to have an opinion about what health insurance I pay for.

Sorry for the late reply : /

That is my understanding as well, and due to it’s estrogenic properties, it can’t be to good for ANYONE except post menopausal women, and for them, many sources say it must be fermented. Yet it is being marketed as healthy for everyone from infants on up : o

Eek : \

May God bless,
Tatt

‘Eating soy_______________’

Good information for the uninformed to read.
I should have added if soy is organic or fermented, it is okay to consume.

We get a host of monthly newsletters from
nutritionally-minded doctors.
Not Sears, but we know of him.

Can’t remember what Tofu tastes like.
Except if one favors using it, I believe it can be cut up small and thrown in with sauces, gravies, etc., and be well integrated!
There is nutritive value in organic or fermented soy.

Lol! Well, from the aspect of feminizing men, it might sound good to ‘em, but in regard to infants or young females, it has the potential to intensify a whole heck of a lot of physical/emotional issues : o As in - “Just do as I say, and hand over the chocolate, so no one gets hurt.” ; }

As I said before - EEEK!

Do take care, and may God bless you FRiend :)

Understood, but the scariest part is that it is in so many processed foods! It certainly pays, (and tastes a whole lot better too ;) to put down the box, and find your own good recipe!

Take care FRiend, and may God keep watch over us all.

I wonder how the media would handle this if a Muslim owner objected to paying for contraception.

Maybe that's why my blood vessels feel all crackly rollie, or is it from that indigestible veggie oil that the body can't tolerate.
Let's get back to good old butter and pig fat lard.

I’ve been actively commenting on their FB page in support of his decision. Now it is important that other posters here know just how dastardly Potter is before they decide to join in any support. I am a servant of the evil Patriarchy so it was no stress for me at all. You should know that,

Potter has bought up the world supply of oral contraceptives and other birth control devices. No woman, anywhere, ever again will have access to birth control.

Potter personally is involved in every medical decision his female employees and their doctors make. If he disapproves of any of these decisions tough luck for the gal.

Potter puts Viagra in pez dispensers for the guys who work for him.

Potter forces his employees to abide by the teachings of the Roman Catholic church, at work and in their own homes.

Potter must offer birth control coverage because his employees have earned their insurance. It is just like their paycheck. Which explains why no insurance company ever in the history of the world has ever denied a claim.

Potter must go to reeducation camp and build a Sandra Fluke float to ride in the PP “We Love Gosnell” parade.

At least that is the impression I got from the screeds attacking him.

I think the one big regret Potter will have is that he did not know till now just what sort of psycho hose beasts bought his products. If he had maybe he could have done something to drive them away sooner.

I do have reservations about Potter’s motive for the suit after reading his very clumsy statements. But I still support the suit in principle and hope he succeeds.

My reservation is that I think he should have been able to articulate why his faith would not allow him in good conscience to offer coverage for contraceptives. That is the basis for his suit and he failed to do that in the interviews. This should be a cake walk for any Catholic let alone one who goes against the mandate in a law suit.

Hint: He's a New Ager, not much of a Catholic.

I do agree about supporting the suit, I do hope it succeeds, as would be just. Historically, God has used other jackasses to serve his purposes.......

Not a surprise. There is also some stuff in his background which makes me wonder about his overall business ethic. He tries to come across as a David but is he really a Goliath?
