Especially if it turns out to be someone on a visa. But then, I thought on 9/11 the first thing Bush would do was slam that border & visa program shut. I was so naive...I was afraid they’d detain Muslims unfairly or kick them all out!

I'd say most democrats aren't for amnesty. That's why the gang of 8 insist it isn't amnesty. We're all getting hoodwinked on this one. One group that I've followed is Progressives for immigration reform. They have different motives than some of us, but they see illegal and mass legal immigration as a negative.

Thank you AuntB. I don’t think I am alone when I say I have leftist kooks in the family. I think we all do. And when it comes to attacking me for my conservative ideology they generally don’t hold back. ALL of them lack the knowledge needed to refute anything I say so, on occasion, they gang up on me then they attack with one hoping the other has the answers they know they lack. But that really is rare; they generally stick to talking about me behind my back revealing their cowardice. It is what it is.
lol! I would love to but I know where it would end. Heck, I politely asked my sister why she supported Barack Obama back in 2008 and when she couldn't give me even one reason why she took it as an affront on her intelligence and has since disowned me.

Yes, I was mean. I found out later that my sister sent an email to everyone in the family but me informing them that she “didn’t want to hear my name again until she heard I was dead”. Wow...talk about overreacting. From what I heard she didn’t get the support she had hoped for with many telling her that all I did was ask her a question. That didn’t matter to her, she stuck to her position and does to this day so we have not spoken since. I swear, all I did was ask her why she was going to vote for Barack Obama. Apparently, that was mean.
