Heres part of the synopsis:
In the year 2159, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine manmade space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth A hardline government official will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium.
Anti-immigration politicians, environmental devastation, One Percenters
all this movie needs is a futuristic racist Tea Party congregating in a homophobic chicken restaurant and it will have addressed all the lefts current favorite targets.

"Matt Damon enjoys deep and long conversations with Matt Damon. I wonder how much his personal assistants make."
Did I miss the name of this movie I will never see?
Matt Damon is pretty impressed with himself — he’s about the only one who is though.
NEVER in history has the big screen been in more need of a DIFFERENT type of CHRISTIAN movie, that will “break the mold” of what a Christian movie is...than now. One that will attract millions of viewers, and that will forever make all of Hollywood take notice.....and realize there is a HUGE amarket for “Clean, exciting, suspenseful, movies, with a family—friendly background, that contain POSITIVE, messages throughout”.
Ooops, clipped that out of my first comment. The movie is Elysium. Comes out in March. Bet it doesn’t last a month...
LLS
So, we have two movies, Elysium (Matt Damon) and Oblivion (Tom Cruise). They seem to have the same general premise — a post-apocalyptic planet with the have-nots, while the rich and well-connected have somehow fled the planet.
The plots themselves are a bit different of course, but it was so confusing at first because I was wondering how I missed Matt Damon in the Oblivion trailers.
Anyway, the movie I want to see next is Much Ado about Nothing, because I love everything that Joss Whedon does, even though he is a flaming liberal in real life.
The movie promo seems to match the liberal mindset perfectly. There’s no MIDDLE class, only rich and poor. And there is no lifting up of the poor, only tearing down the rich to the level of the poorest. You get equality in poverty.
Now I did have a partial fail by not including the name of the movie in the post. It's ELYSIUM. But that shouldn't be too hard for Freepers to figure out, either from the comments here or by going to the Frontpage article...
Morgan Freeman is not a pedophile. That term has a specific meaning, and what he did does not match the definition. It’s just creepy, like Woody-Allen creepy.
Sounds like the Matt Damon version of Kevin Costner’s “Waterworld.” May it do for Damon what it did for Costner.
The original Star Trek series did an episode similar to this movie plot, IIRC.
Hmmmm. I remember that episode. Just about a dead-on match. Wonder if the Star Trek people know about this? Wonder if there would be a case for copyright infringement...
The film will be rated PG for ‘Putrid GARBAGE’.
If the rating system were revised it should be ‘G’ for ‘Garbage’; PG for ‘Putrid Garbage’, T for ‘Trash’, ‘R’ for Rancid and ‘HWGAGF’ for ‘Hey, we got a great film’, which would be very rare in Hollymess.
Bet you're wrong. Matt Damon is a fairly decent box office draw (see the Bourne movies) and it's directed by Neil Blomenkamp (sp?), the guy who did the very interesting "District 9."
Actors.............what DON’T they know?
Yes it was a Star Trek episode and the scantily clad blond bombshell daughter of the City in the Sky’s leader was VERY put out that Spock was only up for a roll in the hay every six years.
I wonder if he bores himself to sleep talking to himself?
One night a magician named Matt
(Who kept his small change in his hat),
..Tried to buy chocolate mousse,
..But could only produce
Several rabbits, some doves and a cat.
