This is a speech given, by Dr. Peterson September 9, 2006 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Unfortunately nothing has changed, its only gotten worse. The Country that we grew up in and loved, will soon be a quaint memory. We are governed by people who hate the Constitution and all that it stands for. They worked relentlessly over the last 60 years to accomplish their objectives, and unfortunately have been successful. Sad very sad.

I’m currently writing a book about republican government, which explains in brief why the United States is a republic and not a democracy. I should be done with it by the end of the year. Hopefully, it’ll spread far and wide to educate the people.

Your book better include a chapter on the Illinois Butcher™ s role in crushing states rights. The Federal is a construct of the states, the states can leave the union at will. The sooner we realize that the better.

It makes me so ANGRY when I hear people declaring we are a democracy.

I wish you much success with your book.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. - Benjamin Franklin

The book doesn’t touch on the states, just the basic structure of government. They’re mentioned, but only structurally. But I am considering a sequel book covering checks to government power, which would include state powers.

I was taught in grammer school that a democracy was the worst form of government possible but that was 70 years ago.

If you do not write the the states were the center of power when the USC was ratified and the the FedGov was created by and for the states, then you book is worthless.

I suppose that during WWII the phrase “Arsenal of Constitutional Republic” didn’t quite have the same ring to it.

The majority of our fellow citizens are “low-information” folk, who get their “knowledge” from television “journalism”. Keep in mind that journalism majors have the lowest college entrance exam scores of all incoming undergraduate students in the US. They are also taught from Day One in their university course work that journalism is about shaping opinion and changing the world (and not about effectively communicating correct and corroborated information). The media we have today does not deserve the Constitutional protections and responsibilities that the Press was originally afforded.

Yes I will. It’s going to be under ten dollars. It’ll be a very short primer on government, similar to Thomas Paine’s Common Sense or the Conscience of a Conservative, easy to read and distrubute.

” the states can leave the union at will.”

Hmmm, I beleive that this has been tried, unfortunately with little success, it was called the “Civil War” or the “War of Northern Aggression” if you are from the South.

Unless all Conservatives and hopefully more than a few RINOs pull all our children and or grand kids out of public schools this erosion of the core foundation which made this country ONCE great will continue until the foundation can no longer support us.

It cannot be stressed enough:

1) If you can afford the time, home school

2) If you cannot afford the time but can afford the money, private school.

3) If you have neither the time or money then at least find a charter school more grounded in Conservative ideas.

It is completely insane for us to believe we can stem this rush to Marxism while at the same time allowing communist teacher’s unions to have full unfettered access to our children’s developing minds.

Winning one or more elections will not change the mindset of the country for the long term. Only removing the brainwashing of our children by committed leftists will right the ship but even if we all do 1,2 or 3, this will take time.

It took decades for them to almost fully implement the communist manifesto and if you take the time to read it, you will see the Marxists have succeeded in constructing the trap and are very close to springing it.

One minor correction here: America is SUPPOSED to be a limited government constitutional republic. The country was set up that way.

Now....unfortunately.....we have become an unlimited government mass democracy....the proposed elimination of the Electoral College is high on the liberal agenda to further this objective.

Mass democracy is an over rated concept....when the voters discover that they can vote more benefits for themselves at the expense of others.

Secession does not mean war. Try to separate those two things in your government reconstructed mind.
