Not sure if they have a different rebate policy for the Motion, but the rebate form I have for the Spirit, which is no longer on the Metro web site says ““Applies to new activations and upgrades.”

I also called Metro before buying to make sure the $70.00 rebate would apply to existing customers that are upgrading.

I would think if you upgraded from another phone, you would be eligible, but you would have to find the rebate form for LG Motion phones purchased prior to 3-31-13

I think you should be able to get the $50.00 rebate they had on the LG Motion purchased prior to the date above.

And yeah, the “Cheese” feature is great. This phone is packed with all kinds of great stuff in addition to being lightning fast. The voice recognition is great as well - you don’t have to type text messages or searches, you just push the Mic Icon and speak when prompted.

My Birthday was last week so I bought the LG Spirit as a gift to myself, along with some nice Bluetooth Headphones and a folding pocket knife.

I'll check tomorrow but my understanding was the rebate was ONLY for new customers. BTW, another great MetroPCS feature is the $5 per month UNLIMITED overseas calls. My wife told me about that about 3 years ago but I thought she had to be wrong. So I called up MetroPCS and she was RIGHT! I signed up right away for her phone and within 5 minutes she was calling South America. Sometimes she calls Europe (Portugal). Right there that saved me about $40 a month in international calling cards that she was using up to that time.
