Aren’t a lot of the assassination files due to be unsealed at the 50 year mark? There should be tons of interesting stuff in those files.

I thought JFK’s White House tapes (HE installed the taping system that eventually brought Nixon down) were supposed to be released at the 50 year mark. Don’t know about assassination files being so embargoed.

And wonder how many 8 minute gaps (or “unplayable” tapes) will be discovered when the public is finally able to shed some light on the Kennedy White House.

LBJ’s tapes revealed scandals like permitting a bank merger in exchange for a signed letter from a someone involved in the Houston Chronicle to only give his administration positive press. Also revealed a humorous cut with him telling a tailor how to cut the crotch in his pants.

I'm a bit of a JFK assassination buff, but I'm not aware of
such a release. Though there is certainly a boatload of
papers/files that have yet to be made public.
