The point of new technologies is to get you to buy new stuff, not upgrade your old stuff. Think of it as part of the stimulus package.

I learned that with HDTV. I could only take so much trouble from my converter box, so eventually I went and bought a new television set.

I still have trouble with reception, but I've done my bit for the economy.

I’ve purchased several HDTV tuner cards and external boxes to put HDTV off-air/cable feeds into a window on my computer screen. Little success getting anything really satisfactory. Any experienced suggestions appreciated.
