5 "terrifying" things about the Act... a quick read of them shows that only idiots are opposing it. Ergo, I will be happy that it passed.

The 5 "Terrifying" things":

1. "The 'Monsanto Protection Act' effectively bars federal courts from being able to halt the sale or planting"...
Yeah, I'd love to see this language be upheld by ANY court, LOL. Judges always look for ways to block their own decisions. SMH

2. "The provision's language was apparently written in collusion with Monsanto... Sen. Roy Blunt, Republican of Missouri, actually worked with Monsanto on a provision"
This is not exactly a new phenomenon. Oooohh, can't you feel the TERROR!!

3. "Many members of Congress were apparently unaware that the 'Monsanto Protection Act' even existed within the bill they were voting on."
Again, nothing new. More non-terror.

4. "The President did nothing to stop it, either."
OMG!!! WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE!!! We stamped our little feet and the government didn't obey us! Waaaah!

5. "It sets a terrible precedent. Though it will only remain in effect for six months"...
Seriously, the full summary of the FIVE TERRIFYING THINGS is that it was written with language that will be utterly ineffective in a legal challenge, Monsanto was consulted, it passed, it passed, and it passed but is only effective for 6 months.

Once again, judging solely by the words of the opposition, I have zero problems with this bill now.
