I learned to shoot at the age of eight with my great grandpa's Model 1894 30-30 octagon barrel takedown version. He purchased it new in 1895 and I killed my first deer with it in 1964. I could easily fire bullseye groups at 200 yards, with iron sights from a bench rest. Just wait until these gun grabbers discover optics and long range shooting. They will probably wet themselves.
